UEFA SANCTION MOVE SOUTH

General Secretary of UEFA Gerhard Aigner has stated that UEFA would not stand in the Old Firm's way if both the Scottish and English FA's backed a move to the English Premier League for Rangers and Celtic. Both the SPL and FIFA oppose the move,  while English officials have declared the move 'unlikely'.

Rangers drop another 2 points to give Celtic a 4-point lead at the top of the SPL. Hearts matched Rangers for much of the game, and snatched a point late on when 19-year old Stephen Simmons scored the first goal of his career.
